Thanks for getting in touch with us, Sarah and we appreciate your interest in a new account with us! It's our pleasure to let you know how you can do so.
You're more than welcome to open a joint account with us. Joint accounts can be opened in person at any TD Bank location. Please keep in mind that all account holders must be present for the account opening process. And if you're only interested in a checking account at this time, no problem!
When you visit, each account signer will need a Social Security number and a valid personal identification such as a Driver's license, State ID, or Passport. Please note that you must be 18 years of age or older in order to open an account.
We encourage you to review our Checking Accounts here: http://bit.ly/1oXjGgF, or use our Checking Account Selector at http://bit.ly/1vW1xnU to find an account which suits both of your needs.
If you prefer, you may choose to open the account by yourself. Then, you can always visit your nearest TD Bank during lobby hours to add the joint owner. In this case, you're welcome to begin the account online at the links above, or you can give us a call 24/7 at 888-751-9000 and a friendly Specialist can help you.
When you're ready to visit a Store, you'll be happy to know that we offer convenient Store hours and locations. Please look here: http://bit.ly/TDStores for a listing in your area.
Hope this helps and let us know about any questions, Sarah!
