We appreciate you joining us on TD Helps today, Gail. We would also like to thank you for your considering TD Bank for your POD (Payable on Death) Savings account.
To open your POD (Payable on Death) Savings account, you will need to be listed as the primary account holder and your son would have to be added on as the beneficiary or the P.O.D payee of the account. To begin the application process, you will need to bring your Social Security number and a valid Photo I.D. such as a Driver's license, State ID, or Passport. We will need the name, address, and DOB for your son (beneficiary/P.O.D payee).
To view the Savings Accounts we offer please click here: http://bit.ly/1l6nLQ7. You may use our Selector Tools for guidance by clicking here: http://bit.ly/1vW1DvM for our Savings accounts.
Once you've decided on the best account that fits your banking needs, the account can be opened at any one of our Stores during lobby hours, via online by clicking onto "Open Account" button underneath the account that you wish to open, or by calling 888-751-9000, 24 hours a day/7 days a week! Please keep in mind, if you are planning on calling or going online to open your account, you will still need to stop into a TD Bank Store to add your son as the beneficiary or P.O.D. Payee.
Please see http://bit.ly/TDStores for TD Bank Store locations and hours near you.
Thanks again for visiting, Gail and have a fabulous day!

Thanks for joining the conversation, Charlie! We'll be glad to go over the necessary information to add a beneficiary to your POD account.
Feel free to stop into any TD Bank location during lobby hours with the intended beneficiary for your account. Please make sure that you both bring photo IDs with you as well. Should you have any additional questions, please give us a call 24/7 at 888-751-9000 or visit us at any TD Bank location during lobby hours.
