Thank you for your interest in banking with TD, Michael. We'd be happy to help!
You'll be happy to know that you are able to use a check to make an initial deposit while opening an account!
Prior to your visit, we recommend taking a look at the variety of accounts TD has to offer. To view and compare our checking accounts, visit http://bit.ly/1aDaRqd or check out our Checking Selector Tool http://bit.ly/1vW1xnU for help with selecting a checking account that is the best fit for you. To take a look at our savings accounts here: http://bit.ly/1pJT9I9. You are also able to receive a custom recommendation by using our Savings Selector found here: http://bit.ly/1vW1DvM.
When you are ready to open an account, we offer a variety of ways to do so! You are able to open an account by selecting "Open Account" beneath the product of your choosing, calling us 24/7 by dialing 888-751-9000 or visiting a TD Store during lobby hours. To take a look at TD Stores near you please visit http://bit.ly/TDStores.
Please know that regardless of the method you choose to open an account, you will need a valid photo I.D. handy (Driver's License, Passport, Military I.D. etc.) as well as your Social Security Number.
If you open your account over the phone or online, you are able to deposit your check by visiting a TD Store. To determine how long it will take for the funds to clear your new account, we ask that you take a look at our Personal Account Agreement found here: http://bit.ly/1kb17UQ (pages 38-41).
We hope to hear from you soon, Michael and have a good day!
Megan K, Mount Laurel
