Hi. I was an exchange student in MA two years ago I had created a student account at your bank. I just received a letter, that informs me I have reached 24y and my account will be charged 15$/month fee. I'd therefore like to terminate my account. What action is required from me. I live in Slovakia and I'd like to avoid paying this fee. Sincerely, Maros

Welcome to TD Helps and thank you for sending us your question, Maros. Sounds like you had a TD Student Checking and you recently turned 24, please keep in mind that student benefits expire after 5 years or on a student’s 24th birthday, whichever comes first. At that time, the account will automatically convert to a TD Convenience Checking account. However, the maintenance fee will still be waived if you can maintain a daily minimum of $100.00. We'd like to take this opportunity to share with you that we are committed to being available when you need us. Even after you have moved outside the United States, we do have some options for you to do all of your banking without the need to visit a TD Bank Store.
