I wrote a check to a merchant, and it was taken out of my account three days ago. Wasn't a pending transaction, the money was taken out. And the merchant sent me a letter saying they received payment. Tonight I see the money back into my account, with a return fee. How can that be when it was already taken out of account and the merchant said they received payment??
