In reply to Matt, Leesburg
Thank you for joining us on TD Helps, Matt and welcome to the community!
If you open an account with us here at TD Bank within the U.S., Matt, we can certainly accept funds transferred on your behalf. In order to transfer funds internationally, it may be necessary to complete a wire transfer and we'd recommend that you speak with Scotia Bank to confirm any other options. On the other hand, if the funds will be sent to an account in Canada from a TD Bank U.S. account, we can let you know that from here, this is possible and these funds must be sent via wire at any TD Bank Store location.
You're welcome to consider your TD Bank U.S. account options at these links: http://bit.ly/1oXjGgF for our Checking accounts, or use our Checking Account Selector at http://bit.ly/1vW1xnU. Also, our Savings products are listed here: http://bit.ly/1hzzhPT, or use our Savings Selector Tool at http://bit.ly/1sxY9Rd to get your recommendation. You can visit any TD Bank Store nearby you in Leesburg to open the account and here's handy link to our Locator: http://bit.ly/TDStores. If you're not a US Citizen or Resident, please be sure to bring your non-US Passport with photo and a second ID from this list for assistance:
- Employment ID with Photo and Signature
- State Issued ID or Driver's License with Signature
- Foreign Driver's License with Photo
- US Employment Authorization card with Photo, Signature and Expiration Date
- College ID with Photo
- Alien Registration Card with Photo
- Permanent Resident Card with Photo
Also, if you happen to have accounts with both TD Bank U.S. and TD Canada Trust or decide to do so, as a Customer of both banks you would be welcome to take advantage of our convenient Cross Border Banking options. For more information, please take a look here: http://bit.ly/1ienPN4.
Using this service, you'll be able to transfer funds between your TD Bank U.S. and TD Canada Trust personal accounts free of charge. If you wish to, please feel free to speak with a Representative from our Cross Border Banking Support Line 24/7 at 877-700-2913, who can answer any questions you may have.
Also, since you've reached TD Bank within the U.S., if you are interested in establishing an account with TD Canada Trust and transferring funds between two banks in Canada, we invite you to take a look at this link: http://bit.ly/1yTiogF. Our friend Rachel across the border has provided some info you may be able to use! If you have questions for our friends at TD Canada Trust, just reply on that post or feel free to write in with your own question here: http://bit.ly/1kD3iFr.
We certainly hope this info is helpful for you, Matt! We're here if you have any questions, let us know and have a great week!
