We appreciate the visit, Christina and would be glad to help provide details regarding your deposit.
Usually, when you deposit a check with a Teller, the first $100 is made available immediately. The rest of the funds are usually credited to your account on the following business day.
If your deposit was made at TD Bank before 8:00 PM on a business day, it would be considered a deposit on that business day. A business day is every day except Saturdays, Sundays, and federal holidays. As you've mentioned that you made a deposit on Saturday, we will consider that the deposit was made on the following business day. For weekend deposits, this usually means that the deposit will be considered Monday's deposit and will post to your account Tuesday. Please keep in mind that if Monday of that week is a federal holiday, the deposit is considered for Tuesday and will post to your account on Wednesday.
Exceptions can also occur which can cause delays in funds availability. For example, if you are a new account holder and your account has not been open for 30 consecutive days, check deposits can be held for up to 7 business days for verification purposes. We invite you to look at our Personal Deposit Account Agreement here: http://bit.ly/1kb17UQ. On pages 39-42 you can find our Funds Availability Policy along with information about when you'll have access to deposits.
If you'd like to connect with us to discuss your deposit further, we are available 24/7 at 888-751-9000 and would be more than happy to help after account verification. You may also wish to visit us during lobby hours here: http://bit.ly/TDStores.
We hope this helps, Christina. Let us know if you need anything else.

If $100 is available imediately and you deposited a check of $125 , is the $25 that is still pending part of the "available balance" or will that go into the available balance once the entire check clears?

Thanks for joining the conversation, Mel.
Typically, if you made a check deposit of $125 with a Teller or at a TD ATM and the first $100 is available immediately, that $100 will be part of your available balance. The remaining $25 will be on hold from your account and not be in your available balance until the following business day. Please note that a business day is every day except Saturdays, Sundays, and federal holidays.
As mentioned above, there are some exceptions to funds availability and we invite you to view those details by clicking: http://bit.ly/1kb17UQ (starting on page 39).
We hope this helps clear things up a bit, Mel and please let us know if you have any additional questions.
