yesterday I sent an international wire transfer to a bank located in south Africa. The receiver had switched banks but did not notify me so the original bank rejected the transfer. What happens next, how do I recover the money so I can send it to the new bank

Thanks for bringing your concerns to TD Helps today, Patricia.
As you stated that the International Wire Transfer you initiated has already been rejected, we ask that you please allow between 7-10 business days for the funds to be credited back to your account.
If this time frame has already passed, we recommend that you visit your nearest TD Store location during lobby hours to speak with a Customer Service Representative. By doing so, we will be able to place a trace on your International Wire Transfer, which will allow us to determine where the funds may be, and the cause of the delay.
To take a look at Store locations and their hours please visit http://go.td.com/1f9DSJR.
As always, if you have any questions, you may also contact a Banking Specialist at 1-888-751-9000. Specialists are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for your convenience.
We hope this helps to ease your mind, Patricia. Have a great weekend!
