If I am a new customer and I open a new checking account for $100,000.00 with my check from another bank, and I would like you to cash my Income Tax Refund check from the State of New Jersey for $214.00, would you cash my check?

We are often able to cash a tax refund checks, but this is at the discretion of the Store you visit. To find a Store near you, please click here: https://go.td.com/1nq31dc.
A hold in the amount of the check may be placed on your account while we verify the check with the originating bank. This hold is generally released during overnight processing, but could be extended if necessary to receive verification. We encourage you to review the our funds availability policy starting on page 41 in our Personal Deposit Account Agreement by clicking here: https://go.td.com/1kb17UQ.
