Thanks for stopping by TD Helps today, Colleen! We'll glad to answer any questions you may have about check deposits.
Please make the check payable to yourself and you may deposit it through a teller at any TD Bank location, at any TD Bank ATM or through our mobile app.
When making check deposits with a Teller, the first $100 is made available immediately. If you are a new account holder and your account has not been open for 30 consecutive days, Check Deposits can be held for 7-10 business days for verification purposes. After this grace period, not only will the first $100 be made available at the time of deposit but the rest of the funds will credit to your account the following business day.
Please note that TD Bank makes the first $100.00 available of your daily ATM deposits (cash and or checks) immediately for accounts that are opened 90 days or greater. Deposits made through the ATM before 8:00 PM will be available on the next banking day. However, deposits made through the ATM after 8:00 PM will be considered the next days' business and will post to your account on the following business day. If you make an ATM deposit after 8:00 PM on a Friday, that deposit is considered to be on Monday's banking day and will post to your account on Tuesday. Anytime a holiday falls on a Monday, the deposit will post to your account on Wednesday morning.

Also keep in mind that if your checking account is with TD, you make a transfer with a Teller at your local TD Store, using either Online or Mobile Banking and over the phone by dialing the number mentioned above!
