Hi Susan! Thanks for reaching out to us about your travel plans.
We always recommend notifying us prior to any vacation or trip that takes you some distance from home. This allows us to notate your account to prevent any interruptions in using your debit or credit card while abroad.
If you'll be taking your TD Bank Visa Debit Card with you to Hong Kong, please give us a quick call at 888-751-9000. Our Banking Specialists are available anytime and will update your account with your destination and travel dates. While we have you on the phone, we should also confirm that we have a good contact number for you on file. This way if there is a questionable transaction in the future, we can contact you to confirm it.
If you also have a credit card with us that you'll be taking with you, we recommend contacting our Credit Card Customer Service Team at 888-561-8861. They are also available 24/7 to assist in notating your account.
You can also send us your travel plans by secure message through your online or mobile banking. Be sure to include your destinations and your travel dates. To send a secure message, log into your TD Bank online profile by clicking here: https://go.td.com/1eaISlq. Once you've successfully logged in, look for the 'Message Center' on the left hand side and select 'Send a secure message'. From your Mobile Banking, log in and select 'Send a Secure Message' from the side Menu. We can generally respond within 24 hours or less.
