Thanks for writing into TD Helps, John! We'll be happy to answer your question today.
Typically, the funds would become fully available on the next business day with an immediate $100.00 available at the time of the deposit. However, if your account hasn't been open for more than 90 days, check deposits could have an extra hold and that can last between 7-10 business days. Take a look here: http://bit.ly/1kb17UQ to view our Funds Availability policy, pages 38-41.
If you make the deposit through the ATM, TD Bank makes the first $100.00 available of your daily ATM deposits (cash and or checks) immediately for accounts that are opened 90 days or greater. Deposits made through the ATM before 8:00 PM will be available on the next banking day. However, deposits made through the ATM after 8:00 PM will be considered the next days' business and will post to your account on the following business day. If you make an ATM deposit after 8:00 PM on a Friday, that deposit is considered to be on Monday's banking day and will post to your account on Tuesday. Anytime a holiday falls on a Monday, the deposit will post to your account on Wednesday morning.
We hope this helps and please let us know if you have any questions, John.
