Thanks for your questions on TD Helps, Starron. We'd be happy to help.
When opening an account, TD Bank uses a multi-factor verification process in which we would request to verify your Social Security Number. With that being said, depending on your Citizenship and available identification documents, we may be able to open an account without a U.S. Social Security number being provided.
Also, although it is possible to open an account on behalf of another person in certain circumstances (i.e. Guardianship, Conservatorship, or Power of Attorney), your ability to access the account and your rights surrounding it may depend on how the account is opened and titled.
For additional details in regards to your inquiry, we recommend contacting us directly for assistance. You are able to visit any TD Store during lobby hours or call us 24/7 by dialing 888-751-9000. Regardless of the method you choose, our Representatives will be happy to help. To take a look at TD Stores near you please visit http://bit.ly/TDStores.
We hope to hear from you soon, Starron and have a great day.
