I accidentally overdrew my account and went into the negative about $80. I lost my job and was not able to secure work for roughly a year so my overdrawn balance was never paid, I stopped using my checking account, and the next time I tried accessing my account I was told it had been terminated. If I pay the amount I owe, in full, at a TD Bank branch will I be able to open another account? And could that account have overdraft protection and all other precautionary features as to not have to owe the bank money for any reason?
