Welcome to TD Helps, Melissa. We appreciate you reaching out to us and we would be happy to help.
Since you mentioned that your account was charged off, we ask that you contact our Recovery Department at 800-742-2651 to make payment arrangements, or visit your local TD Bank Store, prior to opening a new account. Please note, closed accounts cannot be re-opened regardless of the reasons for closing it; and business accounts can only be opened at the Store.
Once the overdrawn balance has been paid off, you can then request to open a new account with TD Bank. For information on the current checking accounts TD Bank offers, please follow this link: http://bit.ly/UR7yr0. For a customized recommendation with our Checking Selector answer the questions provided here: http://bit.ly/KmmHe7. You may also wish to take a look at: http://bit.ly/1hzzhPT for more detailed information on each particular Savings Account available at TD Bank. You may find it helpful to check out our customized Savings Selector tool, found here: http://bit.ly/1sxY9Rd.
Once you've decided on the best account for your banking needs, you can open the account via the telephone at 1-888-751-9000, available 24/7, you may open the account online by selecting the "Open Account" box located beneath each specific account type, or at any TD Store during lobby hours. To find a TD Store near you, please check out: http://bit.ly/TDStores.
We know budgeting is important in an effort to build savings and help manager your income, expenses, and debt repayments. TD has a lot of references, articles, tips, and tools at the “Finance 101” page; we would encourage you to look there: http://bit.ly/1yooowv.
We hope this helps Melissa. If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to write back. Enjoy your day!
