Hi Angel! Thank you for reaching out to us here on TD Helps!
In order to cash a check at TD Bank, we do require your account to be in good standing to do so. Checks drawn on TD Bank can be cashed at any TD Bank Store. You may only cash checks not drawn on TD Bank if there are sufficient funds in your account to cover the check. Otherwise, you may deposit the check and withdraw the funds once they are available. We also invite you to take a look here: http://bit.ly/1kb17UQ for more information on our Funds Availability (pages 38-41).
If by any chance you owe funds to us for an account that is no longer open, you may still cash a check drawn on TD at any of our Stores. Please keep in mind that a fee of $7.00 may apply if you are not a Customer at this time, and that fees are subject to change. If this is the case, you can also settle any balance owed right at the Store, or reach our Recovery Department Monday through Friday, 8am-9pm and Saturday 8am-5pm, at 800-742-2651 for assistance with the debt.
If you'll be stopping in to one of our Stores, take a look at http://bit.ly/TDStores for nearby locations. You can also give us a call at 888-751-9000 24/7 and a Banking Specialist would be more than happy to help you find a location and schedule an appointment if you like!
Let us know if you have any other questions Angel. We hope you have a great day!
