Thanks for letting us assist you on TD Helps, Victoria! We'll be glad to provide you with some options for your account.
Please note that to protect the privacy and confidentiality of your account, if you would like to remove a signer's name from your account, the account should be closed and a new one opened.
Please keep in mind that any one owner of an account can request it to be closed. If you're listed as joint owner of the account and are 18 years of age or more, you'll be able to close the account.
If you'd like to close your current account and it has a remaining balance, we'd recommend visiting any TD Bank Store near you to withdraw the funds and request that the account be closed. Please visit http://bit.ly/TDStores to find a convenient location for you. At that time, you'll be more than welcome to establish a new account in your name only. Please keep in mind that you must be at least 18 years of age to establish an account without an adult as a co-signer.
If the balance in your account is already zero, or you have a remaining account that funds can be transferred to, you may also call us 24/7 by dialing 888-751-9000. Or, you're welcome to send a Secure Message via your Online Banking account by logging it at http://bit.ly/1eaISlq and clicking the Customer Service tab. You'll find a link to Send a Message there, where you can enter your request. Please be sure to specify the account number you wish to close if you choose this method.
We hope these options help you, Victoria! Let us know about any questions you have and have a great weekend.
