We are happy to see you here at TD Helps, Catherine. We would be glad to assist!
Our External Transfer service is used if you're sending money from your personal account with TD Bank to your account at another Financial Institution. You can also initiate a request for funds from your account at another financial institution to your TD account. When using this service to send funds, fees may apply; however, if funds are deposited to your TD Bank account from another institution, we will not charge a fee in that instance at this time. Please note that these fees are subject to change. For more information on our Fee Schedule, please take a look here: http://bit.ly/1cTejgt.
If the transfer you make is initiated at another financial institution, TD Bank will not assess a fee. This applies to both withdrawals from and deposits to your TD Bank account as long as the transactions were not initiated using the TD Bank External Transfer service. We do recommend that you check with your other bank to determine if any fees may apply to your account there for the use of their services.
If you have any questions at all, we'll be glad to help! Please reach our Tech Support Specialists 24/7 at 800-493-7562. Or, stop in at any Store listed here:http://bit.ly/TDStores.
We hope this answers your question, Catherine. Please let us know what else we can do and have a great rest of your Sunday!

Dear Kristen, is it still true that ACH initiated from an external bank for transfer of money from TD Checking to the external bank's checking will not incur a charge from TD Bank?

Thanks for contacting TD Helps today, Harsha. We'll be happy to point you in the right direction.
If you plan on initiating an External Transfer with a three (3) business day delivery time from another financial institution via your Online Banking, this transfer would be free of charge. However, please note, if you are planning on performing this transfer from a different financial institution, while you will not receive a fee from TD Bank, we recommend contacting the other financial institution directly for any fees that may be assessed on their end.
If you have any additional questions or concerns, you may contact a Live Customer Service Representative at 1-888-751-9000, 24/7. You're also able to visit any TD Store during lobby hours for assistance. To take a look at Store locations and their hours please visit http://go.td.com/1f9DSJR.
We sincerely hope this helps, Harsha, and please enjoy your weekend.
