My parents received a refund check from the state of new jersey. If I deposit this check into my account, do they have to sign the check or can I just sign my name and deposit it.

Please note that government or insurance checks can only be presented for payment to the person listed on the "Payable to" line of the check. We apologize that we would be unable to accept a refund check made payable to a third party for deposit to your own account.
