I cannot get to the lobby before it closes but can do drive thru. Is this still considered a "lobby deposit" and the rules for available funds and the check clearing still apply?

Hi Michele! Thanks for stopping by with a great question.
We're happy to let you know that a deposit made through the drive thru window is still considered an in-person Store deposit, or lobby deposit. Availability on the funds from any check deposited at the drive thru will follow normal funds availability.
All checks must go through verification. Generally, this means that with any check deposit the first $100 will be made available immediately and the remainder released the following business day. There are instances when we may hold a check for additional verification. While this hold is usually for only one extra business day, there are instances when we may hold a check for longer. Should we hold it for longer than two business days, we will notify you in writing. The most common reason for additional holds is a large dollar amount, a new account, or a previously returned check. You can find additional information about funds availability on pages 40-44 of the Personal Deposit Account Agreement here: https://go.td.com/2nf0JAI.
If you have any additional questions, please don't hesitate to give us a call 24/7 at 888-751-9000 or stop in to see us at any of our Stores. To find one near you, please click here: https://go.td.com/1nq31dc.
We hope you're having a great day, Michele!
