We appreciate you visiting us today, Jahleel. Thanks for considering TD Bank! We'd be happy to help!
If you wish to open a TD Savings account, you may open the account at the same time you open your TD Checking account.
It sounds like you’ve decided to open our TD Simple Checking account. for more details, please check out: http://bit.ly/1dhZ3bj. Or to view and compare our checking accounts, visit http://bit.ly/WrwMg7 or check out our Checking Selector Tool http://bit.ly/1vW1xnU for help selecting a checking account that is the best fit you.
Once you have made your selection, please click on the "Open Account" box. You will then be taken to "You Cart" page. If you wish to open a TD Savings account, you have the option of selecting the recommended Savings account by clicking on the "Yes, add this to my cart" box or to select a Savings account of your choice, please click on the "Keep Shopping" box. By clicking on the "Keep Shopping" option, you will have the opportunity to review all of the accounts TD Bank has to offer. To view specifically our TD Savings accounts, please click on the "Savings and Money Market" tab. Once you have made your selection, please check the account and click on the green "Start the Application" box.
There are 5 steps with series of questions you will need to fill in during this account opening process:
-The first step is the "Account Info", you will need to input the account type you are looking to open and whether you want a TD Debit Card or not. If you selected to open a Savings account, you will also be asked if you wish to have an ATM only card and if you wish to set up recurring transfers. You will also be asked if you wish to link the new TD Checking and Savings account.
-The second step is your "Personal Info". This is where you authenticate your identity so you will need your Social Security number and your Driver's license, State ID, or Passport for this portion.
-Step three is the "Disclosures" where you will be requested to view and agree to.
-Step four is your "First Deposit". If you have a current account, whether it is with TD Bank or another institution, this is where you can transfer funds into the new account for the first deposit.
-Finally step five is the "Finish" portion. Review your information and submit your application.
If you run into any problems during the process or if you prefer, you could also give us a call at 888-751-9000 to speak with a Customer Service Representative. Our Representatives are available 24/7 and are ready to help answer any questions and open that account for you!
Additionally, if you are able to, you may also visit us during lobby hours for assistance. For hours and locations near you, take a look here: http://bit.ly/TDStores.
We hope this helps. Let us know if you need anything else. Have a great day!
