It's great to hear that you're interested in a savings account with TD, Saul. We would be happy to review our accounts with you.
At TD, we offer a variety of Savings accounts and you are able to review the specifics of each here: http://bit.ly/1hzzhPT. You are even able to access a custom recommendation by using out Savings Selector Tool found here: http://bit.ly/1vW1DvM.
Once you've decided on which account is best for you, you can open the account via the internet by clicking on the "Open Account" box which will be listed at the bottom of each account details. To get started, you'll need the following: Your Social Security number and ID (Driver's License, State ID, or Passport). If you are a Non-US resident and do not have SSN at this present time, you will need to bring two forms of identification with you and stop by your local TD Bank store during our lobby hours to set up your new account. One form of ID must be a Non-US passport and the second form of ID you may select from the list below:
- Employment ID with Photo and Signature
- State Issued ID or Driver's License with Signature
- Foreign Driver's License with Photo
- US Employment Authorization card with Photo, Signature and Expiration Date
- College ID with Photo
- Alien Registration Card with Photo
- Permanent Resident Card with Photo
To make a first deposit online, you may use a debit card linked to an account from another financial institution, a credit card (Visa or MasterCard) or you can stop by your local TD Store to make a deposit. Please visit: http://bit.ly/TDStores to find a TD Bank Store near you.
If you prefer to open it over the phone, please call Customer Service at 888-751-9000, available 24/7, and we will be happy to help you open the account. Once the account is opened, you will have 30 business days to make your first deposit.
Please know that interest rates vary by state. If you have further questions before you open an account, feel free to contact the 24/7 number listed above or visit a TD Store during lobby hours.
We hope to hear from you soon, Saul and have a good afternoon.
