Welcome to TD helps, Meechelle. We'd be happy to clarify the some of the details!
The length of time it takes to receive your debit card regardless if you sign up for direct deposit, will depend on your Post Office. However, in our experience we like to allow between 7-10 business days for arrival.
If you find that you need a card before then, you're always welcome to visit a nearby TD location to have one printed right there on the spot! We just ask that you bring photo ID. For a listing of locations please view: http://bit.ly/TDStores.
If you would like to sign up for direct deposit, depending on your employer, you may use either the Direct Deposit Authorization Form, which can be found here: http://bit.ly/1hLQ1cP, or you may use a blank voided check to set up your direct deposit. Keep in mind that you will need your account number and routing number for the form.
Routing numbers are determined by the location in which you've opened your account. If you are unsure of your routing number, you may look it up here: http://bit.ly/1cmRPoF. If you're still uncertain, please feel free to contact us 24/7 by dialing 888-751-9000 or by visiting your local TD Store.
We hope this helps, Meechelle and have a good day.
