Hi Allan, thanks for reaching out to us! Hope you're having a good trip!
If you're talking about your TD Bank VISA Debit card, then there is absolutely no fee for an international purchase. Just keep in mind that the foreign currency amount of your transaction will be converted to its US dollar equivalent by the merchant. If you make any cash withdrawals at an ATM machine however, please refer to our fee schedule here http://bit.ly/1cTejgt to determine if a cash withdrawal fee would apply for the type of account you have. For a few tips to manage your money when traveling please check out : http://bit.ly/1fO8wKy, you may also want to review our international travel tips frequently asked questions by clicking here: http://bit.ly/1ltwDDc .
If you're asking about your TD Bank VISA credit card, and you have our TD Easy Rewards or TD Cash Rewards card, then there is a 3% transaction fee on all foreign charges, including any purchases and/or cash advances that you make abroad. This fee does not apply if you if you have our TD First Class VISA Signature card.
Hope this helps Allan! Just in case you have any more questions about your TD debit card, please call us at 888-751-9000 anytime 24/7 or 888-561-8861 for questions about your TD credit card. Have a safe trip and have some fun!
