Great having you on TD Helps, Barry and thanks for the question. We're happy to tell you more about our Popmoney feature!
If you'll be sending funds to someone using this service, if you've sent the money either via text message or email, the recipient will need to accept the funds. To do so, they'll either want to create a profile directly with Popmoney, or enroll in the Person-to-Person Transfer service via their Online Banking account. For text and email delivery, the recipient will receive built-in directions from Popmoney on how to claim the money you've sent. And if you've sent the funds using their account number, the funds won't need to be claimed but instead they'll be deposited directly to their account within the time frame you selected.
If the person receiving your funds is enrolled in Online Banking, they can claim their funds via their online account. They'll simply log in to TD Bank online banking here: http://bit.ly/1eaISlq. Under the Transfers tab, after enrolling in the Person-to-Person Payments feature they'll need to set up their mobile phone number or email address – the one you used for sending them the payment – and then the payment will display on the Overview screen, ready to be deposited into their account.
If the payment hasn’t displayed, they'll want to be sure that they used the same mobile or email address you’ve set up in the service. Keep in mind the payment expires 10 days after it was sent, so they'll want to accept and deposit the funds promptly.
Any questions, Barry? We're here for you 24/7 at 800-493-7562 – our Tech Support Specialists are happy to help! Or please visit us, we're always glad to see you at one of our Stores found here: http://bit.ly/TDStores.
Hope this explains it at bit and don’t hesitate to stop back for anything you may need. Have a great night!
