Thanks for visiting us on TD Helps, Melodie. We'd love to help you!
We understand your concern about your deposit being properly applied to your account and we'd like to assist you.
Any deposit you make prior to 8pm, your funds will be available for use on the following business day, in most instances. If your deposit is made after 8pm on a business day or on any weekend or holiday, the next business day will be considered the deposit date. If you make your deposit with a Teller, the first $100 is made available to your account balance immediately. If you are a new account holder and your account has not been open for 30 consecutive days, Check Deposits can be held for 7-10 business days for verification purposes. After this grace period, not only will the first $100 be made available at the time of deposit but the rest of the funds will credit to the account balance the following business day. We invite you to take a look at our Personal Deposit Account Agreement: http://bit.ly/1kb17UQ (Pg. 38 -41). The specified pages will show our funds availability policy in full detail.
Having an overdrawn account doesn’t necessarily mean your deposits won't go through. We'd also like to take this time to provide you with other frequently asked questions that come up when an account is overdrawn. Please take a look here to check them out: http://bit.ly/1sXNJNf. We know there is a lot of financial advice out there so we'd also like to show you our Finance 101 page: http://bit.ly/1dHULN9.
We hope this helps, Melodie, and if you have any other questions please let us know.
