Thanks for stopping by TD Helps, Laura. We'd be happy go over how you can deposit a check on behalf of another party into your account.
To deposit a check that is written to a payee that is not listed on your TD Bank account, you will need to stop into a TD Bank Store together. Your cousin, will need to bring Valid I.D.(State I.D., Driver's License or Passport) and complete an Endorsement Authorization and Release form with one of our notaries at any of our TD Bank Stores. For TD Bank Store locations please follow http://bit.ly/TDStores.
The deposited check will take 7-10 business days to be verified. You may cash the check against your TD Bank account but the account holder will be held responsible for any checks that bounce. Please follow http://bit.ly/1cTejgt, for our fee schedule on a Return Deposited Item (RDI).
Hope this helps, Laura. Feel free to reach out to us again if you have any additional questions.
