I haven't worked for a few years and I never renewed my ID now I must get a new one. but the MVA is making that vary difficult. I need to know if I am able to open a new account with an ID that is expired. or if that is not possible.

Please know regardless of the method you choose, you will need a Social Security Number and a valid photo I.D. (Driver's License, Passport, Military I.D. etc.). As you mentioned that your current I.D. is expired, please reach out to your local TD Store for more details.
