In reply to Amber, Torrington
Good evening to you, Amber!
What a great question, we appreciate you bringing it by.
First, we’d like to mention that we see you're writing to us from Torrington. If you bank with us here at TD Bank in the U.S., we can let you know that it typically takes 2-3 business days for an account to become closed once you've requested this. As this is the case, if a transaction is sent to your account during the closing process, it's possible that the transaction will cause the account to remain open.
If you're not certain about the current status of your account, you're more than welcome to give us a call 24/7 at 888-751-9000, or you can also stop in to any of our Stores listed here: http://bit.ly/TDStores.
If you happen to bank with our partners in Canada, Amber, then we invite you to post your question on their TD Helps page right here: http://bit.ly/1kD3iFr, or, you can reach out to them directly. A variety of contact options can be found using this link: http://bit.ly/1woOVay.
We certainly hope this will help but feel free to write us again if you have other thoughts about this.
Thanks again for writing in and have a wonderful evening!
Kristen P, Mount Laurel
