I have a paycheck electronically depositing on 2/16/18 and a payment also going out electronically that same day. Which transaction will happen first? The payment is to State Farm and was set up by using State Farm's website as opposed to a payment set up through TD's website, if that makes a difference.

Thanks for coming to TD Helps, Martin!
You have a great question.
Here at TD Bank, direct deposits are posted with the date and time provided to us by the creditor. As direct deposits are available on the same business day that they are credited to your account, even while they are in a pending status, you should have your funds available to you on the date promised by your employer. Typically, deposits are credited before 6am; however, if you would prefer to confirm this information, you're welcome to connect with your employer directly.
Additionally, as you mentioned that you scheduled a payment to be debited from your account on the same date as your direct deposit, please keep in mind that TD Bank currently processes transactions in chronological order. In the event that your payment to State Farm is processed to your account before your deposit, and the funds are not available in your account at that time, you may be assessed a fee. If you'd like to learn more, you may check out the Fee Schedule here: https://go.td.com/2lbbfGg.
If you have any additional questions or concerns, please know that we're here to help! f you currently have access to your Online Banking, you may also send us a Secure Message.
