Good question, Christine and thank you for seeking your answer on TD Helps.
You'll be happy to learn that for our Customer's protection, the debit card numbers are made different than the account numbers. Therefore, if a debit card is misplaced or stolen, the account numbers will not be compromised due to this.
If you have lost your debit card, we recommend reaching out to our Banking Specialists immediately to have your card canceled immediately. Upon verification, they will offer the options in regard to reissuing a new card during the call. Our 24/7 Banking Specialists can be reached at 888-751-9000 to assist you. Additionally, you may stop by your local TD Bank Store location, during lobby hours to be assisted in person. To find out the nearest TD Store near you, please visit, http://bit.ly/TDStores. All TD Banks have an instant issue machine where you may obtain a new card seven days a week. You will walk out with a new card in your hand!
