I opened a TD Bank Checking account and the Debit card they gave me did not have a chip? Is this ok ? Should I order one with a Chip?

Hi Edgar and thanks for coming to TD Helps with your question. You'll be glad to know that we've begun issuing Visa Debit cards which include chip (EMV) technology. Currently, these are being sent to our Customers whose cards are expiring and we'll continue distributing these as cards expire. While these are not available yet via instant-issue at our Stores, if you'd like to replace your card, feel free to get in touch with us. You can either give us a call 24/7 at 888-751-9000, or you can stop in to a Store and we'll be happy to place your request for you. If you'd like to stop in, a listing of our current Stores can be found here: https://go.td.com/1nq31dc. Through either method your new card will arrive to you via mail in approximately 7-10 business days. These will arrive with instructions so you can familiarize yourself with this type of card as well as some FAQs for you. And for more details along with FAQs, please also visit: https://go.td.com/1Ex8IvZ. We're always here to help, feel free to reach out to us if you have any further questions! Take care.
