It's great to have you here on TD Helps, Kim.
Because the account was opened as a joint account due to your age, both you and your mother are listed as owners which also grants full access to your current accounts. For this reason if you no longer wish to have a joint account with your mother and to protect the privacy and confidentiality of your TD Bank account, we require the closing of your current joint account and opening a new one where you are the only signer.
To close and open a new account, you can contact us at 888-751-9000 to speak to a Customer Service Representative 24/7 or visit your local TD Bank. For locations and hours near you, take a look here: http://bit.ly/TDStores.Youcan also open your new account online, just follow this link: http://bit.ly/QPELjq.
Let us know if you have any other questions and have a nice day.
