Welcome to TD Helps, Kristin. We appreciate your interest in banking with TD Bank and would be happy to help.
We invite you to look here: http://bit.ly/1u2of1Y for more information about the IRAs offered through TD Bank, including savings and term deposit IRAs that may fit your goals. If you are not sure if a Traditional or Roth IRA is the way to go, take a moment to check out our Frequent Asked Questions page here http://bit.ly/1j4SCQq. Here, you can find the answer for any IRA question you may have.
For opening a Roth or Traditional IRA, you would have to visit a TD Bank Store location. Feel free to check out http://bit.ly/TDStores for a listing of hours and locations. Please note, some documents would need to be signed and filled out by you if you are transferring from another IRA. If you are looking to transfer from a 401k, we would file a direct roll-over document with your signature.
Also, since you mentioned you were looking to set up accounts for your kids, here at TD Bank, we offer a wide array of accounts and we invite you to visit the below links for more information. For checking account information please take a look here: http://bit.ly/1dbAcWh and also here for a personalized recommendation with our Checking Selector Tool: http://bit.ly/KmmHe7. For more information on savings accounts, you may review: http://bit.ly/1o4wfc4, and also click here for a recommendation with our Savings Selector Tool: http://bit.ly/1hXi2wF.
Once you have decided on the account best for your needs, to open the accounts for your kids, please visit us during lobby hours and please be sure to have their Social Security number handy for the account opening process. Additionally, please bring your own Social Security number and a valid ID (acceptable identifications include Passport, Driver's License, Military ID, etc.). Please also remember to bring valid identification for your children (including: School ID, Passport, US Birth Certificate, or Social Security Card).
To find a TD Store location near you, please visit, http://bit.ly/TDStores.
We hope this helps and please let us know if you have any other banking questions.
