I'm currently in South America and I want to use my bank card, however I don't want to set off any alarms of misuse from another country and also what are the possible fee for my use of the bank car outside the States?

Welcome to TD Helps and thank you for sending us your question, Jeynner! We hope you are enjoying the nice weather there in South America!
Cards bearing the Visa logo are accepted at locations all over the world. However, please contact us prior to making the purchase if you have not yet notified TD Bank about your travel. Additionally, TD Bank does not charge Customers any international transaction fee (also known as ISA fee) when they use their Debit Card to make purchases overseas.
We encourage you contacting us by telephone to have your debit card notated immediately. To contact Customer Service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week from outside the United States, please dial direct 1-856-751-9000 or collect with operator assistance from a land line phone by asking the operator to dial 1-215-569-0518.
You may also notify us with your travel plan by sending us a Secure Message through your Online Banking. To send a secure online message, please sign into your account and click on the Customer Service tab and then select Send a Message. If you choose this option, please include the exact travel dates, destinations and if there will be any connecting flight if applicable.
Just in case if you are not currently enrolled for online banking and wish to enroll for online banking for your personal accounts, you may use our self-service option by visiting http://bit.ly/1lU2qfY to begin the enrollment process. In order to do so, you will need your account number, TD Bank ATM/Debit Card, your Social Security Number and your email address. Once at the page, please select "Personal" from the drop down box. When you select continue, you will have to read and accept the Online Banking Service Agreement. Then you will be asked to enter your personal information including the items mentioned earlier and to create a user name and password. Finally you will be asked to create three security questions. When you finish the enrollment process, you will have immediate access to your account(s).

If you have a business account and would like to enroll for TD Bank BusinessDirect, please follow the link above and choose Business from the drop down box. After you select the link provided above, please choose "Business" from the drop down box and click on "Continue." Please complete the application. You will need your Business Taxpayer Identification Number, account number, your business name, and your e-mail address. When you are finished with the application, you will receive an e-mail confirmation within 2 business days that contains your initial User ID and password.
