Thank you for joining us on TD Helps, Mats. We thank you for your interest in joining the TD Bank family!
In order to get a Visa Debit Card, you would need to open a Checking account. We'd like to invite you to check out http://bit.ly/Wczmq0 for the multiple types of Checking accounts that we offer and you can also look here http://bit.ly/1vW1xnU for our Checking Selector tool. In addition to a Checking account, you also have the option of opening a Savings account. For details on the Savings accounts that we offer, take a look here: http://bit.ly/1hzzhPT and just like our Checking accounts, you have the option of using our Savings Selector tool that you will help you find the account that will best suit your needs here: http://bit.ly/1vW1DvM.
We offer numerous ways to open a new account. You can visit www.TDBank.com or stop by a local TD Bank Store, where we offer to give you a new Visa Debit Card on the spot! To find a TD Bank Store please visit: http://bit.ly/TDStores. Also, if you have a Social Security number and a US address you can give us a call directly 24/7 at (888) 751-9000 to open a new account. You can make your first deposit at the same time that you open your account. One way you can do this is to transfer funds from an account with another Financial Institution within the US and provide their routing and account numbers.
If you are not a US citizen, you will have to visit a TD Bank Store to open the account your desire. You will not be required to have a US physical address, but you will need to bring your foreign Passport along with 2 forms of identification: driver's license, State ID, or US Passport.
You may view a listing of our Fee Schedule here: http://bit.ly/1cTejgt. Also, you have any additional questions, feel free to contact our Banking Specialists 24/7 at the number listed above.
We hope this helps and enjoy the remainder of your day!
