Thank you for joining us here at TD Helps, Stephen. We're sorry to hear you're having difficulties with your card and would like to point you in the right direction.
As this is pertaining to your specific account, we would need to review this further with you. We would love to assist you directly; unfortunately, we do not have access to your personal information since this is considered an unsecured forum.
To make sure you do not experience any card acceptance issues, we recommend placing a travel notification on your account before you leave for your trip. Sometimes, even if a note is already placed on your account, our automated advanced fraud early warning systems may block your debit card until we are able to verify the account activity with you. To provide us your travel notation or to review your account for any block, you can reach us from outside of the United States 24/7 at (856)-751-9000, or if you are able to gain access to a landline, feel free to call us collect at (215)-569-0518 with operator assistance. After account verification one of our Specialists will be more than happy to help with your debit card, and look into why your card is currently not working.
If you prefer and you are enrolled in Online Banking, you can submit your travel notification via secure message. To send a secured message you must first login to your TD Bank online profile. You can do so by clicking here: http://bit.ly/1eaISlq. Please find the Customer Service tab and on the left hand side, you should see an option to Send a Message located in the Message Center. In your message, please include the dates and destination(s) of your trip. If you are not enrolled for Online Banking, you can do so for free here: http://bit.ly/1lU2qfY. You will need your Social Security number, TD Bank ATM/Visa Debit Card, your account number and e-mail address. Once you have successfully enrolled, you will have immediate access to your account(s).
When you place travel notifications, it makes us aware of foreign transactions on your account and helps us monitor your account's security.
