Welcome to TD Helps, Cartiera. We'd be happy to review what you'll need in order to change your name.
You can certainly request a new TD Debit Card reflecting your new married name. Prior to doing so, we would need a few things from you. We ask that you visit us during lobby hours to update this information. You can find a store near you by using our location finder at: http://bit.ly/TDStores.
Please be sure to bring with you one of these following legal proof of change documents:
-United States Passport
-2 Forms of Secondary ID
You can expect your name change to take effect for your account within three to five business days.
Once your name change has been updated, you can then request a new TD Debit Card. To request a new TD Debit Card, there are many ways available and we would be happy to provide those options to you.
You are more than welcome to visit any TD Bank location for an instant issue TD Visa Debit Card or you can call us at (888) 751-9000 to speak with one of our 24/7 Customer Service Representatives. After account verification, our Specialists would be happy to order the new card for you and mail it to the address we have on file for you.
Another way you can go about ordering a Debit Card is by sending us a secure message through Online Banking. To do this, you must first be enrolled for Online Banking. If you have not enrolled, you can do so for free by following this link: http://bit.ly/1lU2qfY. You will need your account number, Social Security number, your email address and your current TD ATM/Debit card. If you run into any problems enrolling, please call us 24/7 by using the number mentioned above. After you've successfully enrolled, to send secure messages please select the "Customer Service" tad and under "Message Center" please click on the "Send a Message" link. For this particular request, please select the "General Customer Service" for the subject line. In the "Comments/Requests" field, please type in your request. You will receive your new TD ATM/Visa Debit card in the mail and it may take up to 7-10 business days depending on the post office.
We hope this helps, Cartiera and have a good day.
