Welcome to TD Helps and thank you for sending us your question, Mike.
If you are currently enrolled for Online Banking, you may be eligible to send money to your landlord by signing up for Person- to- Person payments. In order to be eligible for using this feature, you must have a TD Bank Personal Checking account, a unique United States phone number, a United States issued Social Security Number, and a valid unique e-Mail address. To initiate a Person-to-Person payment, you’ll need to be logged in to Online Banking and you may do so here: http://bit.ly/1eaISlq.
- First, you must enroll in the service. To do so, you would select the tab that says Person-to-Person payments at the top of your Online Banking screen.
- Then, you will be asked to accept a user agreement, review the fee schedule and confirm your email and phone number. A text and email code will be sent to the mobile number and email address we have on file for you.
- Next we will request you to submit both codes for verification to complete the enrollment process. Once the enrollment is complete you’ll be ready to send the payment and in the next three business days the funds will be received.
You will not need to provide the address of the receiver's for Person-to-Person payment. You’re welcome to check out http://bit.ly/1pADlWD for all of the exciting details.
If you are not currently enrolled for Online Banking and wish to enroll for your Personal Checking account, you may use our self-service option by visiting http://bit.ly/1lU2qfY to begin the enrollment process. In order to do so, you will need your account number, TD Bank ATM/Debit Card, your Social Security Number and your email address. Once at the page, please select "Personal" from the drop down box. When you select continue, you will have to read and accept the Online Banking Service Agreement. Then you will be asked to enter your personal information including the items mentioned earlier and to create a user name and password. Finally you will be asked to create three security questions. When you finish the enrollment process, you will have immediate access to your account(s).
If you do not have the required information to set up for Online Banking or you need assistance enrolling, you may contact us 24/7 at 1-800-493-7562 to speak with a Digital Banking Specialist. Upon proper account verification, we would be happy to help get you started.
If Person-to-Person Payment is not an option for you or you have a TD Business Checking account, you may wish to visit your local TD Bank store to initiate a domestic outgoing wire transfer. For hours and locations near you please take a look at: http://bit.ly/TDStores. Once at the Store, you will need to provide the name, address and ABA (routing) number of the receiving bank, the name of the account to be credited, the beneficiary address and the account number.
We hope this helps, Mike. Have a great one!
