Thanks for joining us today, Marcus. We'd be happy to help!
If you have a Checking account with TD Bank and one of our TD Bank Visa Debit cards to go with it, you'll be glad to learn that TD Bank does not charge you any foreign transaction fees for purchases made with this card. When using this card for a purchase in foreign currency, our Customers pay the Visa exchange rate at the time of purchase. This rate is not set by TD Bank. You may refer to our Personal Deposit Account Agreement: http://bit.ly/1kb17UQ for more details.
When making an ATM withdrawal from an international location, please make sure that the ATM machine displays either the VISA or PLUS logo. The TD Bank Debit Card may also be used to obtain a VISA Cash Advance if a compatible ATM is not available. Please note non-TD ATM fees still may apply. Many ATMs outside the United States limit withdrawals to Checking accounts only, TD Bank Online can be used to transfer money from your savings account to your Checking account should more funds be needed.
