ATMs, but they work for direct transactions. I also can’t find a way to call internationally in the remote area that I’m in (Vietnam) - please help as I need cash ASAP! Thanks

Good morning, Sarah, and happy Saturday.
We're so sorry to hear that you're having trouble with your TD Bank Debit Card, and we'll be more than happy to help.
As you mentioned that you're unable to make withdrawals at ATMs, and that purchases made directly with merchants are not being declined, it sounds as though an error may have occurred with the ATM itself, or that you may have mistakenly selected an incorrect account at the time of the transaction. Here at TD Bank, we allow for both Checking and Savings account to be added to our debit cards so that you'll have the convenience of withdrawing funds from any of your accounts. In the event that you do not have a Savings account on your card, but selected the 'Savings' option on the ATM, this may cause an error, and for your card to be declined.
While we would like to confirm what caused this error, please know that with TD Helps not being a secure forum, we are unable to access your account or personal information at this time. However, please don't worry!
When looking to connect with us from abroad you may dial 1-856-751-9000 to reach one of our Banking Specialist 24 hours a day, 7 day a week. This number is toll free, and if you'd like, you may also call collect, with operator assistance from any landline device, by asking the operator to dial (215)-569-0518.
If you're unable to call, you may also send us a secure message. To send a secure message, you will first want to log into your TD Bank online profile by clicking here: https://go.td.com/1eaISlq. Once you've successfully logged in, look for the 'Message Center' on the left hand side and select 'Send a secure message'.
If you have downloaded our mobile banking app for your smartphone, you may also use this method to send a secure message. From your Mobile Banking, log in and select 'Send a Secure Message' from the side Menu. We generally respond within 24 hours or less.
Additionally, as you mentioned that you're able to make purchases with merchants, and you are in immediate need of cash, we'd also like to recommend requesting to receive cash back from a merchant at the time of your next purchase.
We hope this helps, Sarah, and we look forward to hearing from you soon.
Enjoy the rest of your travels in Vietnam!
