Hi Kim. Thanks for visiting us at TD Helps with your question!
We think it's great that you're helping your father with his banking and we'd be glad to direct you.
If your father has forgotten his phone PIN code, don't worry. It can be reset by any our Banking Specialists over the phone at anytime. Just give us a call again at 888-751-9000. We're available around the clock to help. Once we have your father verified, we can reset his PIN code and also help with confirming if the check in question has been paid yet.
Your father may also be able to view his transactions online to confirm that his check has been paid. If he hasn't yet enrolled in online banking, it's quick and easy and we'd be glad to provide instructions!
As long as he has his account number, debit card number and Social Security Number, he should be able to set up his profile online or through our app.
To begin this, please click here: https://go.td.com/1lU2qfY. If he's doing this from a mobile device or tablet, it can be done with our app. Simply download our app to begin. He can click here: https://go.td.com/1hOPk1H to find our app for Apple or Google.
To start, he'll be asked to select whether this if for a personal or business account and press 'Continue'. He will then need to accept our Terms and Conditions to continue. Once accepted, he'll be taken to a screen where he'll need to enter the info we've listed above, as well as his name, email address, and what type of account he has. He can then create his username. Please note that usernames must contain at least one letter and one number and must be 6 to 32 characters in length. Once that's done, he'll need to create his password. Passwords are case sensitive, can be 8-32 characters in length, and must contain at least one letter and one number. Once he's entered all of this information, he can press 'Continue' to set up his Security Questions. Once this is completed, he'll be all set!
If your father doesn't have all of the necessary information or is experiences any problems enrolling in Online Banking, please give us a call 24/7 at 888-751-9000. Our Customer Service Reps would be happy to get his online banking set up for him. You're both also welcome to stop into any of our Stores to be assisted in person. To find one nearby, please click here: https://go.td.com/1nq31dc.
We hope that this information helps, Kim. We wish you both a wonderful weekend and Happy Holidays!
