Hey Linda, welcome to TD Helps! We would be happy to help!
We hope you enjoy your time in Honolulu. Currently, TD Bank Stores are located on the East Coast, from Maine to Florida, and we do not partner with any banks in Hawaii. However, we are happy to inform you that when traveling, you can make an ATM withdrawal from any machine that displays the VISA or PLUS logo. We encourage you to check out our current fee schedule, http://bit.ly/1cTejgt, as it outlines any applicable fees that may come into play when you use your debit card while you are traveling. If you are unable to find an ATM that is compatible, your TD Bank Debit Card may be used to obtain a VISA Cash Advance.
Additionally, your Visa Debit Card is convenient, secure and rewarding – so you can shop and bank with confidence! You can use your debit card at millions of locations that accept Visa across the globe. For few a tips to manage your money when traveling please check out: http://bit.ly/1fO8wKy, you may also want to review our international travel tips frequently asked questions by clicking here: http://bit.ly/1ltwDDc.
To avoid any interruptions to your TD Debit Card usage, we recommend placing a Travel Notification on your checking account. If you have not already done so, you can by calling our Customer Service Line at 888-751-9000. If you're setup for online banking, another option would be to send a secured message using www.tdbank.com and request the Travel Notifications be added to your account. To send a secure message you must first log on to your TD Bank online profile. On the left hand side, you should see and option to "Send a secure message" located in the “Message Center”. If you are not set up for Online Banking, please visit here: http://bit.ly/1lU2qfY. Keep in mind that you will need your account number, Social Security Number, and ATM/debit card handy to complete the enrollment process.
By placing a travel notification, this will help us be aware if we see foreign transactions on your account. Also, please be informed that for your protection we will continue to monitor your card activity even when a notification is set. We also recommend carrying more than one method of payment while traveling, just in case you encounter any acceptance issues.
If you have any questions while you are traveling internationally, you can reach us at (856)-751-9000. Additionally, you can call collect from a landline at (215)-569-0518.
Seeing that you are writing to us from Penticton, we would like to let you know that you’ve reached TD Bank here in the US. If you meant to connect with our friends from up North, no worries, we'd be happy to point you in the right direction to place travel notes on your account. Please check out: http://bit.ly/1Hqg034 as our friend, Jennifer, answer a similar question and we believe this could help.
We hope this helps and please let us know if you have any other questions, Linda. Enjoy your trip and safe travels!
