I am looking to get a credit card for the first time and I am told that I need to pay a certain amount of money initially in order to be approved. Is this true? My idea is that I apply for one with $0 annual fee and see whatever limit I get approved for but that I don't need to pay "x" amount of dollars before getting one. I have never had a credit card before, therefore I need lots of information about how to be smart with it and get a good credit rating. Please help!! Thanks!
