We appreciate you bringing your question to TD Helps today, Cindy.
We'll be more than happy to help.
As you mentioned that your account is currently in the inactive status, we'd first like to provide some additional information so that you may prevent this from happening in the future.
Depending on the type of deposit account you currently have with TD Bank, your account will become inactive after a certain period of time. Checking or Money Market accounts become inactive after six month of no activity. Savings accounts; however, become inactive after nine months of no activity.
In the event that your account does become inactive, you may simply visit your nearest TD Store location, during lobby hours, to perform either a deposit or a withdrawal. As you mentioned that you do not currently have funds to credit to your account, we'd like to recommend that you perform a withdrawal instead. If you would prefer to not remove funds from your account, don't worry! Once you make your withdrawal, you're more than welcome to redeposit the funds back into your account.
During your visit, you may speak with either a Teller or a Customer Service Representative, during lobby hours. Both will be happy to help! Feel free to use the link here: http://go.td.com/1f9DSJR to find your nearest TD Store location, as well as their lobby hours and contact information.
We sincerely hope this information was helpful, Cindy. Please let us know if we can answer any additional questions for you, and we hope you have a great day!
