I am a loyal and happy TDBank Customer who lives in Maine. I am currently on vacation in Germany. My mother in law banks with Bank of America who has contract with a specific German bank such that any money withdrawals she makes via that specific bank do not cost her any additional fees. Does TD Bank have any such agreements?

TD Bank's footprint is currently from Maine to Florida. As a TD Bank Customer, you may withdrawal from any TD Bank ATM, or Canada Trust ATM, without incurring a fee.
When traveling, you can make an ATM withdrawal from any ATM machine that displays the VISA, PLUS, or NYCE logo. Please note; fees may apply when using a non-TD ATM. We encourage you to check out our current fee schedule: https://go.td.com/1cTejgt, as it outlines any applicable fees that may come into play when you use your ATM debit card out of the country. You can also view this account to determine if your account type is eligible for ATM fee waivers. Please note; the international currency conversion rate varies by country.
Additionally, please keep in mind that a non-TD Bank ATM may charge its own fee. We encourage you to review the ATM guidelines and features prior to your withdrawal.
To avoid any interruptions to your TD Debit Card, we recommend that you place a travel notification on your account. You can do so by calling our 24/7 Customer Service Line at 888-751-9000 or visiting a local TD Bank Store. To find a TD Bank near you, take a look here: http://go.td.com/1f9DSJR.
If you're enrolled in Online Banking, another option would be to send a secured message using www.tdbank.com and request the travel notifications be added to your account. To send a secured message you must first login to your TD Bank online profile. You can do so by clicking here: https://go.td.com/1eaISlq. On the left hand side, you should see and option to "Send a secure message" located in the “Message Center.” In your message, please include the dates and destination(s) you will be traveling. If you are not enrolled for Online Banking, you can do so for free here: https://go.td.com/1lU2qfY. You will need your Social Security number, TD Bank ATM/Visa Debit Card, your account number and e-mail address. Once you have successfully enrolled, you will have immediate access to your account(s).
By placing a travel notification, this will help us be aware if we see foreign transactions on your account. Also, please be informed that for your protection we will continue to monitor your card activity even when a notification is set. We also recommend carrying more than one method of payment while traveling, just in case you encounter any acceptance issues.
