Thank you for connecting with us, Giada.
In order to complete an international wire transfer from your TD account, it is required to visit a TD location. We apologize for any inconvenience. If you will be returning to the United States and are within our TD footprint which is Maine to Florida, you may visit any TD Store during lobby hours to make your wire transfer. For a listing of TD Bank Stores and hours, please visit: http://bit.ly/TDStores.
Once you are at the Store, you will need to provide the name, address and ABA (routing) number of the receiving bank, the name of the account to be credited, the beneficiary address and the account number. As you mentioned that it is going to be an international wire, please review additional information on sending international wires at http://bit.ly/1oowsYN.
Keep in mind that wire transfer fees may apply. For our fee schedule, please follow this link: http://bit.ly/1cTejgt. We would also recommend checking with the other financial institution to ensure if there will be additional information required as well as to obtain information regarding any additional fees for their services. And please note that we do not process or disburse funds from wire transfers received designated Pay Upon Proper Identification (PUPID) and return them to the sender.
While out of the country, you may have immediate access to the funds in your TD account by using your TD Visa Debit Card. When making an ATM withdrawal from an international location, please make sure that the ATM machine displays either the VISA or PLUS logo. The TD Bank Debit Card may also be used to obtain a VISA Cash Advance if a compatible ATM is not available. Please note fees may apply. Our most up to date Fee Schedule can be found here, http://bit.ly/1cTejgt, for more information. As always, you can use your Visa Debit Card for transactions, wherever Visa is accepted!
Once the account has a zero balance, you can request to close the account by contacting us from outside of the United States. To do so, please dial 856-751-9000, our Specialists are available 24/7, or you can call us collect from a landline at 215-569-0518 with operator assistance.
We hope this helps, Giada and take care.
