Thank you for checking out TD Helps today, Genesis. We are more than happy to inform you of any fees you may incur while traveling outside the country.
You can use your TD Bank Visa debit card worldwide, anywhere VISA is accepted. You can also use your debit card to make cash withdrawals internationally at any ATM Machine that displays either the VISA or PLUS logo.
We are pleased to let you know that TD Bank does not charge any foreign transactions fees for retail purchases made with your TD Bank Visa Debit Card. We encourage you to check out our current fee schedule, http://bit.ly/1cTejgt, as it outlines any applicable fees that may come into play when you use your debit card out of the country.
We do suggest that you place a travel notification on your account before you leave the country so you don't run into any issues with your card. To do so, you may contact our 24/7 Customer Service line at 888-751-9000 to have a Customer Service Representative place a travel notification on your accounts. You may also send a Secured Message through Online Banking as well. If you are not enrolled in Online Banking, please click here: http://bit.ly/1lU2qfY. Once you are enrolled, please sign into your account and click on the ''Customer Service'' tab and then select ''Send a Message.'' If you choose this option, please include the exact travel dates, destinations and if there will be any connecting flight if applicable. If you are unable to call or send a message, you can always visit your local TD Bank and have a Customer Service Representative place the travel notes for you. Please visit: http://bit.ly/TDStores to find TD Bank near you.
If you're referring to a TD Credit card, there is a 3% foreign transaction fee that is applied for transactions processed internationally and will be posted in U.S. currency. We also suggest you give us a call before your trip to place a Travel Notification on your account by contacting one of our Credit Card Specialists 24/7 at 1-888-561-8861, or you may visit any TD Store during lobby hours.
If you need to contact us while you're out of the country, you may reach us at (856)-751-9000. Additionally, you can call collect from a landline at (215)-569-0518.
Let us know if you have any questions and have a great day!
