I need to have an IOLTA account that I can use for Vermont and New Jersey transactions. If I open an account in Brattleboro, VT, can I use a branch in New Jersey to access that account? Are there charges for such an account?

We do appreciate you coming to TD Helps with your question, Katherine.
Please understand, all accounts must be assigned to a TD Bank Store in the same state where the attorney is located to ensure the proper State Bar Foundation receives the interest payment. (Example: If an attorney is located in New York and is paying the New York Bar, the account MUST be opened in a New York Store.)
Deposits can be made from any TD Store location; however, as there other variables with your question and to best assist, we recommend either giving us a call or visit so we may discuss this better with you.
