I have received a few suspicious texts from the number 725-85 which say: "TD Bank: xxxxxx is the single-use security code you requested" My question is: are these actually coming from TD Bank or is it a scam/phishing text?

Great question, Kiley! We'd be glad to discuss. TD Bank now uses single use security codes for verification when signing in to Online or Mobile Banking instead of security questions. This code is either sent to you via text message, as you received, or by an automated call that provides the number. You can also learn more here: https://bit.ly/2yKP4P3. If you did not request a security code or attempt to log in, we recommend updating your user name and password. To change your user name, please login to full website here: https://go.td.com/2H8iXLO and follow the steps below: -Click on the drop down arrow next to your name in the upper right corner and choose 'Update Personal Settings' -Click on 'Change User Name' -Enter your current user name in box 1 -Enter the new user name you want to use (8 - 25 alphanumeric characters in length, must begin with a letter and include at least one number, approved special characters are: underscore [ _ ] or period [ . ] ) in box 2 -Click on 'Submit' to complete the user name change This change will be immediately reflected for your online account. To change your current password, please follow the steps below: Full Website -Click on the drop down arrow next to your name in the upper right corner and choose 'Update Personal Settings' -Click on 'Edit Password' -Enter your current password in box 1 -Enter the new password you want to use (8 - 32 alphanumeric characters in length) in box 2 -Re-enter the new password to confirm the changes in box 3 -Click on 'Complete' to finalize the change Mobile App -On Home screen, click the Menu icon at the top left corner -Click on 'Settings' -Click on 'Change Password' -Enter your current password in box 1 -Enter the new password you want to use (8 - 32 alphanumeric characters in length) in box 2 -Re-enter the new password to confirm the changes in box 3 -Click on 'Complete' in green at the bottom to finalize the change Please keep in mind that your password is case sensitive and we recommend making sure that 'Caps Lock' is off when setting your new password.
